Tim Redmond spent his earlier career as a detective in the Metropolitan Police working on murder, kidnap and anti-corruption investigations as well as in covert criminal intelligence. On retirement Tim became a tour guide in London, culminating in becoming a guide at the Palace of Westminster specialising in tours of Big Ben. Although the clock is undergoing a major refit, Tim will take us on a virtual tour, saving us the effort of climbing the 224 spiral stairs and explaining the historical background, the clock faces and the mechanism, and taking us into the belfry.
